In a not so distant future, Earth's scientists have unintentionally opened a portal to an alternate dimension during a high-energy physics experiment gone awry. Amidst this chaos emerges Shockbot, the final beacon of hope for humankind to reclaim their home world.
Armed with a high-precision blaster capable of obliterating the menacing foes and equipped with a devastating Shock Attack to eradicate any threats in its path, Shockbot stands as humanity's last line of defense. Leading the invasion is Ultramech, a formidable hybrid mechanical creature of immense proportions armed with a menacing laser cannon. To halt Earth's invasion, Shockbot must eliminate Ultramech, embarking on a perilous journey from the insertion point in Horizon City through monster-infested forests, ominous caves, an industrial wasteland, and culminating in a mesmerizing cyberpunk skyline.
This run-and-gun platformer evokes nostalgia for classic 16-bit shooters as it offers six diverse and thrilling stages, intense fast-paced action, an innovative Shock Attack mechanism to clear enemies swiftly, antigravity platforming obstacles, and an epic showdown against a formidable boss.
